In Part 02 of my maintenance of my Mauser SR, I will check on my PDI hop-up chamber, an engineering NIGHTMARE! There are TWO hop-up adjustment screws to turn. And to get to those screws for hop-up adjustment, you have to REMOVE your magazine, and pull the bolt all the way back, then get your allen wrench, and turn the screws a little at a time..... If you are not the mechanical inlined and have no patience, I would not suggest you getting a PDI hop-up chamber! I would go through a whole day of aggravation of adjustment and fine adjustment, I would then forget about it after that for a whole year!

This is an old video I made a year and a half ago. I have been asked to repost it so here it is. The electronics in the box below the light bulb is nothing more than a full bridge rectifier. So, I'm pulsing the coil with 60Hz pulsed DC. The metal needs to be high carbon steel and I have found later that it doesn't matter if the end of the Allen wrench is bent or straight...I still cannot detect a South pole no matter how many times and rods I try.

Using an Kraft KPS 15 servo, here I show how to make your own screwdriver for working with small, repetitious screws, Allens or bolts. Necessity is the mother of invention, so hence (because we had so many little screws to remove and replace) this was the cool way to do it. Many old servos can be found and used for this task at garage sales, etc. I use mine all the time and hope you may find this a useful project to try. I use Amazing Goop to glue my stuff, www.amazinggoop.com and because this is a tight fit with lack of air, let it dry at least 48 hours before using. Your servo may differ than mine, and you may elect to mount your screwdriver to the output arm, or servo wheel instead. That allows you to remove the driver and add a drill bit, slotted screw drive, or Allen wrench instead. I made mine permanent, because I dont lose anything since it is entirely self-contained. Most of the things I need to use it on is Phillips anyway. This fits in the palm of the hand rather well and you may find it a useful tool. Have fun, and thanks for watching. Dave
